EVERY HOUSE needs some repairs. Whether you’re buying to wholesale, to flip or to hold, you have to estimate the repairs in order to evaluate the deal. Getting it right makes the difference in achieving a good profit.
EVERY DEAL is based on a repair estimate. Bad estimates kill profits. Slow estimates miss the deals. Haste can cause mistakes. Delay can cause lost opportunities. So be prepared – to do it fast enough and still get it right.
REHABS have become more popular in the current market, because properties are so scarce. But – you can’t afford to buy the property if the rehab costs are too high to make the numbers work for a profit.

Virtually all approaches to residential real estate investing involve some degree of repair estimating. It is essential for every investor to master the skill of estimating repairs, in order to consistently make profits, be competitive, and expand your business. About the Trainer: Mark Fedderson became a full time real estate investor in 2001. He started by rehabbing the properties which he bought. He built up his own full time rehab crew. He always bought houses from private sellers – who called him. He didn’t want to compete with the 100’s of other investors who were working the deals on MLS. He has since wholesaled more than 150 houses, in addition to continuing with a very active, full time business of rehabbing and flipping. He has a passion to share what he has learned with others. He spent thousands of dollars on “guru” seminars himself, only to realize that, for him, much of what they taught him seemed to “have holes in it”, or just “muddied up the waters”. So now his teaching mission is to ” try to present only truly useful and valid information – the real picture and actual proven techniques – as clearly, and positively, and usefully as possible “.
