“Section 8” is the Federal program which provides rent subsidy payments for certain qualified tenants. The government pays a portion of the rent, directly to the property owner. For the property owner, participating in the Section 8 program can provide some very valuable benefits, but it also can involve some special challenges.

About the Trainer: Mindy Henderson, CEO of North Texas Rent Homes, is an investor/rehabber, landlord, property manager, Broker, and RMLO. Her management firm managed more than 175 properties for her investor clients, as well as 27 of her own properties. She started her investing career as a rehabber, and really enjoyed doing the big projects (taking it back to the studs). Through 2010, she was buying a house every 6 weeks, rehabbing it and holding it as rental property.

Then for six years, until 2016, she devoted most of her time to managing rental properties for other investors. She is also an active Real Estate Broker. She has negotiated short sales for investor clients, listed and sold REO’s for a local bank, and listed and sold properties for private sellers and real estate investors.

If you have heard Mindy speak in her previous seminars, you know that she is an especially competent presenter – very knowledgeable, very precise, and very organized – which makes for a very informative and valuable presentation.
